Valentina Guagliardi was born in Novi Ligure in 1987. She combined her high school studies in surveying with those in art, working in the studio of set designer Elio Sanzogni, a collaborator of E. Luzzati, taking her first steps in theatre and realising that technical training alone would not be enough. She undertook studies in architecture and graduated with Professor Franz Prati. She moved to Paris, where she continued her freelance work and research, while at the same time pursuing her interest in and attending courses in set design.
She returned to Genoa in 2018, where she decided to settle and open a small architecture studio.
Research, travel and cross-fertilisation are at the heart of all her projects. Curiosity and listening in a society that constantly mixes and dialogues.
