There has been much talk of abandoned public works, but I believe it is important to start turning our attention to the architecture of private buildings as well, moving beyond the prevailing notion of abuse and reflecting on the deeper roots underlying the phenomenon.
This project aims to challenge this partial and simplistic view, by presenting images which, through a play of symbols within the photographs themselves, guide the viewer towards a realisation that simultaneously leaves room for an imagined perspective on everyday life.
The project began in Calabria and has since extended to other parts of the country.
